The Decemberists and Ratboys

Ratboys are a four-piece Chicago band led by vocalist/lyricist Julia Steiner. Their sixth studio album, Singin’ to an Empty Chair (first for New West Records), spans power-pop and post-country, featuring “Just Want You to Know the Truth.”

Montana-born Colin Meloy leads the Decemberists, known for theatrical indie pop with literate lyrics. Influenced by '60s British folk and '80s college rock, they've released acclaimed albums like "The Crane Wife" and "The King Is Dead," which topped the Billboard 200. Collaborations include Olivia Chaney and guest spots from Peter Buck. The band's popular works include the rock opera "The Hazards of Love" and synth-pop "I'll Be Your Girl," blending fantasy with musical diversity.
