Sharp Pins

Sharp Pins is the Chicago-based lo-fi power pop project of Kai Slater, blending 1960s rock and roll with indie sensibilities. Known for catchy songs like "Popafangout" and "Lorelei," the project has released albums such as "Radio DDR," which earned Pitchfork Best New Music, and "Balloon Balloon Balloon." Slater, also of Lifeguard, is recognized for his prolific output and DIY aesthetic, including the Hallogallo zine.

The Hard Quartet

The Hard Quartet is a rock band featuring Emmett Kelly, Stephen Malkmus, Matt Sweeney, and Jim White. Known for a fresh rock sound, they collaborate with artists like Ty Segall and Cat Power. Members hail from bands like Pavement and Chavez, bringing together guitar-bass-drums-voice into a unique musical experience. Debut album out now.
