Skids and Spear Of Destiny

Scottish art-punk band Skids, formed in Dunfermline in 1977, hit UK Top Ten with "Into the Valley". Known for anthemic riffs and chanted choruses, their albums include 'Scared to Dance' and 'Days in Europa'. Reunited for 40th anniversary in 2017.

Spear of Destiny, formed by Kirk Brandon and Stan Stammers, emerged from Theatre of Hate. Known for hits like "Never Take Me Alive," they toured with U2 and faced lineup changes and setbacks, notably due to Brandon's health issues. Despite struggles, they released popular albums like Outland and continued to evolve, incorporating members like Marco Pirroni. They've toured consistently and produced key releases, including Morning Star and Imperial Prototype. Brandon's work is showcased in the Kirk Brandon Anthology.
