Skids and Spear Of Destiny

Spear of Destiny, formed by Kirk Brandon and Stan Stammers, emerged from Theatre of Hate, known for hits like "Never Take Me Alive". Despite challenges, they toured with U2 and played Wembley. Their 1987 album Outland marked commercial success, followed by setbacks due to Brandon's illness. Reuniting in the 90s, Brandon later relocated to Philadelphia, continuing to innovate with new music and reissues, including the Kirk Brandon Anthology box set.

Skids, formed in Dunfermline, Scotland, in 1977, are known for their art-punk style. Key members included vocalist Richard Jobson and guitarist Stuart Adamson. They gained fame with hits like "Into the Valley" and "Masquerade." Produced by Bill Nelson, their second album Days in Europa was well-received. After lineup changes and disbandment, they reunited in 2007 for tribute shows. The original lineup re-formed for a 2017 tour, releasing the album Burning Cities in 2018.
