Come out to celebrate the release by pianist Tim Ray, Fire and Rain on Whaling City Sound. Tim will be joined by bassist John Lockwood and drummer Mark Walker.Tim Rays wide-ranging skills as a soloist and accompanist have afforded him the opportunity to perform with legendary performers from all walks of music. He is perhaps best known as Tony Bennetts pianist and musical director, appearing in concerts with him until his retirement from singing in 2020. Featured on over 100 recordings to date, Tim has performed in concert with an extensive list of pop music icons, notably Aretha Franklin, Lyle Lovett, Jane Siberry and Soul Asylum. He regularly performs with leading figures in the jazz world, among them Kurt Elling, Gary Burton, Esperanza Spalding, Phil Woods, Terri Lyne Carrington, Scott Hamilton, Dave Douglas, John Patitucci, Brian Blade, Lewis Nash and Rufus Reid...and that Tim Ray at the piano - he slays me every single night! Bonnie Raitt...Lovetts moving more and more into a jazz direction, with his versatile and well-rehearsed Large Band bebopping at the slightest provocation. Pre-Show Reception for the 7pm show is in the Boathouse 400 restaurant, located on the 2nd floor of the hotel and is from 5:15pm to 6:30 pm. Dinner/show packages are available for the 9pm show only. Dinner begins in the Boathouse 400 restaurant at 7pm. **All Dinner and Show Package prices include applicable taxes of 7% ($6.65) and 18% gratuity ($17.10) One glass of house red or white wine or non-alcoholic beverage + validated parking while you are enjoying dinner and show.are included with dinner packages.
