LineUp

Martha Davis fronted The Motels, a band from Berkeley, formed 1971, renamed in LA, 1975. Known for hits "Only the Lonely" & "Suddenly Last Summer," the band earned two gold albums. After a 1987 split, Davis pursued solo projects and diverse musical collaborations. Reformed The Motels with some original members continue performing.
British dance-pop trio Right Said Fred, formed by Sussex brothers Richard and Fred Fairbrass, hit global fame with "I'm Too Sexy" in 1992. Known for their catchy tunes and cheeky style, they topped U.S. charts and found success in Germany with hits like "You're My Mate." The group toured extensively and collaborated with German pop star Nena.
Musical Youth, formed in Birmingham, England, soared with their 1982 ska/reggae hit "Pass the Dutchie." Known for collaborations like "Unconditional Love" with Donna Summer, they split in 1985 but re-formed in 2001, performing at festivals. The band included Dennis Seaton and the Waite brothers.
Formed in 1983, The Escape Club achieved fame with their Grammy-nominated, #1 hit "Wild Wild West." Known for blending rock and dance beats, they hit #8 on Billboard with the ballad "I’ll Be There." Post-breakup, members Trevor Steel and John Holliday became successful UK producers. In 2010, they reunited with drummer Red Broad and bassist Johnnie Christo to record their fourth album, "Celebrity."
Animotion, known for '80s synth pop hits like "Obsession" and "Room to Move," achieved early success but faced lineup changes, briefly shining before disbanding. Reunited later, focusing on nostalgic appeal.
Men Without Hats, born in Canada, are new wave electro-pop pioneers known for hits like "The Safety Dance" and "Pop Goes The World." Led by founder Ivan Doroschuk, they've toured globally, collaborating with industry veteran Sho Murray and soprano Sahara Sloan. Inducted into the Canadian Songwriter's Hall of Fame, they've influenced generations with their synth-pop sound.
