Walter Etc. is an American folk punk and pop-punk band based in Ventura, California, formed in 2009 by childhood friends Dustin Cole Hayes, Kris Schobert, and Jake Lee. Originally known as Walter Mitty and His Makeshift Orchestra, the project rebranded as Walter Etc. in 2016 to explore an expanded, more electric sound with a revolving lineup of musicians. Led by singer-songwriter Hayes, the group is recognized for its strong DIY ethos, home-recorded albums, and genre-blending style.
