Formed by students in Rotterdam in 1984, Hermes House Band became a Dutch party staple. Their single I Will Survive (Lalala) hit #1 in the Netherlands in 1994 and became a World Cup fan anthem in 1998; Country Roads was a Top 10 hit in Germany and the UK. Collaborators include DJ Ötzi, Tony Christie, Jürgen Drews and Lou Bega.
Lou Bega is an Italian-Ugandan artist who sparked worldwide mambo fever in 1999 with “Mambo No. 5”, a #1 hit in 21 countries. His debut album A Little Bit of Mambo sold 7M+ copies; he’s won two ECHO Awards and earned a GRAMMY nod.
ItaloBrothers are a northern German dance act best known for the 2009 hit Stamp on the Ground. They scored another hit with This Is Nightlife (2013). Their 2017 Summer Air re-release went Top 5 in Scandinavia, earned multi-platinum, and hit 150M Spotify plays.
Nigerian-born Euro-dance artist Dr. Alban moved to Stockholm to study dentistry, DJing to pay his way. Signed to Denniz Pop’s SweMix, he broke through with Hello Afrika; million-selling hits include No Coke, It’s My Life and Sing Hallelujah.
