Catalyst is an American screamo band formed around 2020. Known for their heavy yet approachable sound, the group gained popularity within the contemporary screamo and power-violence scenes through their 2021 self-titled EP and subsequent releases, featuring intense live performances led by vocalist Connor Kelliher, guitarist David Lemmel, bassist Andrew Trow, and drummer Aidan Lavoie.

Your Arms Are My Cocoon, a Chicago-based experimental screamo project, originated with Tyler Odom in Katy, Texas. Known for blending lo-fi bedroom pop with intense screamo and emo, a style dubbed "bedroom skramz," they are a notable force in 5th wave emo. Their acclaimed debut album "death of a rabbit" (2024) and a 2025 fourwaysplit showcase their raw, emotional sound. Popular songs include "Metamorphosis" and "Snowy!".
