Louisville, Kentucky noise-rock trio formed in 2006 from ex-Breather Resist members. Known for dark, reverb-heavy post-hardcore turned moody post-punk. Debut Settle Down City (2006); later albums include Old Wounds (2008) and Easy Pain (2014).

Helms Alee

Seattle trio Helms Alee blend jangly shoegaze with sludge metal. Formed in 2007, they debuted with 2008’s Night Terror (Hydra Head) and released albums including Weatherhead (2011), Noctiluca (2019), and Keep This Be the Way (2022), featuring cellist Lori Goldston.
