Kentucky is ready for another memorable concert season. The Bluegrass State has a diverse music history, with some pioneers of jazz and blues being from here. In modern times, hip-hop and rock took over, showing that Kentucky has limitless music talent. Many artists make sure that concerts in KY are a part of their tours because they enjoy every event together with the audience across Louisville, Paducah, and other cities.
Lil Wayne tops the list of upcoming concerts in Kentucky. The audience in Louisville will enjoy “Lollipop” and other hits of this Grammy-winning rap artist in October. BigXthaPlug will be in the same city in October as a part of his Take Care tour. Rap fans will also look forward to December when Ludacris will visit Corbin.
Another huge event will occur in November when Justin Timberlake will visit the same city as a part of his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour. Rock fans will love the information that ZZ Top has two Kentucky concerts in the coming months. The first one will be held in Danville in October, and the band will also visit Paducah in November.
KFC Yum Center in Louisville is a multi-purpose arena that hosts various sports teams and concerts in Kentucky. It has a 17,500 capacity for concerts, which is the most in the state. Corbin, the city that’s home to Kentucky Fried Chicken, can accommodate up to 7,000 fans in its Corbin Arena.
Smaller and historic venues are another trademark of Louisville. The Louisville Palace Theatre, opened in 1928 and renovated in 1994, can accommodate 2,611 spectators. Mercury Ballroom offers an even more intimate atmosphere with a 900-seat capacity. Norton Center for the Arts in Danville is a beautiful building with two theaters that will host some concerts coming up in KY.
Understand your taste: You can’t go wrong if you stick to the genre you love. But don’t hesitate to experience new styles, especially if there are some exciting concerts near you and your friends want to go.
Check out different venues and ticket types: Standing is the best way to feel the atmosphere, but seating offers more comfort.
Learn about age and other restrictions: The age requirements depend on the bands or the venues, and there might be some other specific rules to understand.
Know the best time to visit the state: Kentucky is the most attractive in Spring and Fall, although winters are also only moderately cold. However, make sure to avoid the first Saturday in May due to the Kentucky Derby.
Mark your calendar for the exact date to ensure you don’t miss the event. Valid tickets, ID, and some money are must-have items. You should have a transportation plan, whether it includes a car, bus, or train.
