There are a lot of exciting upcoming concerts in Montana this season, with something for every taste — from classic rock and stadium country to holiday spectacle and singer-songwriter gems. Rock legends Styx (Dec 04, 2026) headline the First Interstate Arena in Billings, bringing decades of timeless anthems to the state's biggest stage. Expect a arena-sized singalong, so grab your tickets early.
Holiday favorites Mannheim Steamroller on Dec 14, 2026 are also stopping by, bringing their beloved Christmas production to the Wachholz College Center in Kalispell. If you love a dazzling, festive show, this is a night not to miss.
Country fans are spoiled for choice too. Chart-topper Kip Moore (Dec 05, 2026) plays his Reason To Believe Acoustic Tour at The Wilma in Missoula, followed by rising star Jackson Dean on Dec 03, 2026 at The Newberry in Great Falls.
Looking further ahead, a cappella sensations Straight No Chaser (Nov 22, 2026) bring their rich harmonies to the Wachholz College Center in Kalispell, while acclaimed singer-songwriter Mat Kearney on Feb 05, 2027 caps off the season at the same venue.
Most of the Montana concerts happen in Bozeman and Missoula, while you can also find some action in Great Falls and Billings.
The historic The Wilma in Missoula is a beautifully preserved 1921 theater with rich character and warm acoustics that make every show feel special.
And then there's the stunning KettleHouse Amphitheater in Bonner, an outdoor gem set along the Blackfoot River where the natural backdrop is simply breathtaking.
The The ELM in Bozeman, The Newberry in Great Falls, and The Pub Station in Billings are some of the hottest venues in the state where you can always find some interesting concerts coming up. In fact, you can find something to attend this weekend itself!
Montana’s live music scene is opening its doors to a medley of rock icons as the year comes to a close. But amongst the ground-breaking classic rock bands lined up to play the Treasure State this year are some rising stars of the modern country music scene, mixed with some cutting-edge techno bands who are ready to turn the state on its head. Whatever genre you’re digging, you’re bound to find some Montana concerts that have your name written all over them.
If you can’t decide between the bounty of gigs lined up across Montana’s historic and state-of-the-art venues, here are some quick tips to help guide your decision:
Set a budget for how much you’re willing to spend on tickets, per person. Venues will vary their rates per event, so set an ideal budget and filter accordingly.
Check accessibility of the venue, travel times, parking accommodation, hotel availablilty, and other aspects which will make your concert experience run smoother and stress-free.
Pin down what times and dates you’re free and exclude any gigs you definitely can’t make.
Make sure your preferred ticket type is in stock. Seating or standing? It’s up to you. But make sure the venue has the correct tickets you’re looking for, so you can have the time of your life.
Try something new. You probably know what genres you like. If your fave band isn’t playing, why not try out a similar artist, or go wild experiencing a completely different genre live for the first time.
All you really need to bring to a music concert are your tickets. But here’s a quick list of other things you should bear in mind when preparing for the event:
