I have been to both concerts and lectures in the "Guldsalen" many times. It is a cozy hall, and the sound is good, regardless of whether you stand/sit up front, stand/sit down at the back, or sit up on the balcony. However, the staff may seem a little uncertain and slow, e.g. I recently experienced that several guests, for a sit-down concert, were directed to enter on the wrong side. This of course caused quite a bit of confusion in the hall. Keep in mind, it's not a huge mistake, but when you have now chosen to have an older man stand at the door and indicate "to the right" or "to the left", then what you think in your quiet mind is whether that person in reality was redundant.. The selection in the bar is very minimal. There is a simple selection of beer and spirits, but if you fancy a gin and tonic or a Baileys with your coffee, then you have to wait until the concert is over and find it somewhere else, out in Svendborg's vibrant nightlife.

Nice show in the gold hall. A bit expensive on the drinks. Had to stay pretty far away.
