Grieghallen Concerts 2024-2025

Place: 4/5 Experience: 5/5 Grieghallen has national orchestra status, and rich history that dates back all the way to 1765. We've seen 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' with live orchestra, and it was spectacular. The conductor did a great job encouraging the audience to react, so there was laughter and applause during people's favourite scenes. I do hope there will be an opportunity to see all the movies this way. The seats are comfortable, and the concert hall is formed in a way that you get a good view no matter the seats. I was slightly stressed to leave my coat hanging outside without any protection, but nothing got stolen. Also, despite 25 min intermission, not everybody managed to use the bathroom, so we had people coming in after the second half started.

Grieghallen is a great place to visit with family. Great shows. There is convinient and organized wardrobe. Seats are comfortable. The sound in the hall is good. The hall is located close to public transport. The parking is easy to get to and fairly priced. On show breaks there is friendly staff serving/selling drinks and snacks.

Grieghallen is an icon of Bergen. The design is spectacular in its simplicity. Materials of glass and rusted steel is something unique for the time it was built. Inside is also special and cool. Unfortunately it's a bit worn interior. IDK if it's not so qualified sound workers, or it's the sound system, but for me it sounds flat and not inspiring. I'm quite sure it has sounded better before. Sound is OK, but not really good.

Y was taken by the numbers of people could get in it .when y visited different exhibitions were on and y had drink at bar and was so warm and left my coot at self hanging .The is moder built and looking on sat map y noticed is great reproduction of granpiano, in fact the place is well now for the good acoustic during concerts. Used as congress and culture events good facility areas and big square on the front with enormous parking space under. Well served with public transport.
