Great hotel in the heart of Bergen. It’s a great base for exploring the surrounding area with easy access to the city’s train and bus stations. Rooms are clean and cosey and the whiskey bar has an amazing selection!

Will not ever return or recommend. The receptionist was extremely condescending, and we were made to feel inferior. Terrible feeling. We were given the tiniest room. It was so small you couldn't walk around the bed. The bed was only accessible from one side. 2 people couldn't move past each other anywhere in the room. I'm sure it was given to on purpose. The breakfast was good and it at last was nice to see friendly staff in dining and reception in the morning. Hence why I gave 2 stars instead of 1 star. Though it didn't make up for that first encounter. Very sour taste in my mouth

Pros - Bathroom seemed newly renovated with nice heated floors. Decent sized room, has a mini fridge too. Tasty breakfast with decent variety, including brunost, smoked salmon and mushrooms. Location just next to the train station. There's also a small laundry room, good if you are staying for a while. Cons - Could do with a few more power sockets. Bathtub sides are quite high, might be an issue if you have leg problems.

Hotel is in an excellent location beside all the transport services. Hotel was reasonably comfortable. Rooms adequate. No kettle or tea service, but refreshment room with frees tea, coffee and water in the lobby. Plenty to eat at breakfast with a wide range of choice for every pallet. Lunch was similar. But, catering for hot food not adequate. Food was lukewarm and not hot as expected. The hotel was convenient to the city centre and most places was a walk away. Staff very friendly and helpful. If I was on business I'd stay there again because it is convenient. Excellent conference facilities. Would recommend the hotel on that alone.

Despite having the smallest bathroom I've ever been in and small bedroom, we really enjoyed our time here. It was close to train station (which was great for us as train was our main form of transport) and attractions. The staff we encountered were lovely and good fun, especially in the bar. The bar is a great spot and the meals served were really good. Breakfast staff were quiet, unobtrusive and efficient. All in all, for 3 star accommodation, it's pretty good.
