Bøkeskogen Reviews

Fantastic beech forest. It is the only one of its kind in Norway. Very nice considering that it is in Norway and right by the Larvik archipelago and Farrisvannet. Plus, of course, the wilderness inland by Lake Farrisvannet. A recommendation is to go here at the end of April/beginning of May, when the white sage also blooms here. But looking at the Lovisenlund sports field and the scene itself at the entrance to Bøkeskogen is also a recommendation. When I was here and took the photos attached, there was a nice show on stage here with talented street musicians and band musicians 😉👍

A unique place in the middle of Larvik that has its own cafe. A number of hiking trails start from here, the town's party place on 17 May. Also located right by Farrisvannet. Bøkeskogen is famous for its Viking burial mounds and information signs have been posted around the forest. Also has great free parking. Will also be used for skiing with its own illuminated track

Found us a lovely bathing beach between Farris Naturskole and DNT Pandlehytta, view partly towards the bridge. Nice and warm in the water, sandy beach and forest around. Could jump from the right side of the rock 😊 Also very warm and cool inside the forest if you want to use the forest for training or hiking, Drive the car to the end of the dirt road before entering the path 😃

Larvik's "crown", great hiking trails that take you all the way down to Farris if you wish. Several interesting ancient monuments in the form of burial mounds. Nice information signs have been set up along several of the paths.

It's worth a little detour, e.g. if you're on the E18 and want to stretch your legs a bit. Approximately 60 year old beech forest.
