Akershus Fortress is a captivating blend of history and breathtaking views. Exploring the medieval architecture and wandering through the corridors felt like stepping back in time. The commanding vistas of Oslo's harbor and the cityscape are simply mesmerizing, making it a must-visit spot for history enthusiasts and sightseers alike. Usually i go there to watch the beautiful sunset in the evening

It's fantastic! I think my husband and I may have taken several hundred pictures around the fortress. We stopped by the gift shop and picked up a few things there, too. We have fallen in love with this breathtakingly beautiful town!

This castle is one of the oldest places in Oslo. It is free to enter and wander around the garden and outside areas of the castle, but for inside, you need to pay. You can see breathtaking views from the castle's garden, and you can be mesmerized by the architecture of the castle.

Visited the public areas on a quiet foggy day. I did not get to enjoy the view but the general walk around the fortifications was rewarding nonetheless. An interesting selection of museums and a range of cannons (with reproduction carriages) set up as batteries on the walls.

Very beautiful place in Oslo with great view over the fjord, harbour and city. You can visit most of the area without any entrance cost and walk along the fortress walls. Especially beautiful in winter and not very crowded. Enjoy this beautiful place.
