Church located on the shores of the lake of the same name, Tune-vannet, in the parish of Søndre Borgesyssel prosti belonging to the Borg bishopric of the Church of Norway (Den Norske Kirke). The current church was consecrated on December 30, 1910 and erected in the same place where the previous church was, built in 1865 and which was destroyed in a fire in 1908. Before 1865, another church stood, built around 1100 and which was demolished. in 1863; During the demolition, a stone was found with the inscription, in Roman numerals, of the year 1055, which could indicate that this was the year of its construction. This is the place where the famous runic stele known as Tunesteinen (the Tune Stone) was found with runic alphabet epigraphs in classical Proto-Norse language.

A magnificent and beautiful church with good acoustics. Plus for water-borne heat under the rows of seats.

Doesn't fix errors, it seems like anyway. A grave was dug behind my grandparents and as a result the headstone has started to lean backwards. Unfortunately met with empty talk
