Came here for the first time last night to see Set It Off! It’s a super nice venue and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. They handled the lines for vip, ga and merch really well! From what I heard from others the sound in the venue while the bands were performing was weird but it sounded good to me (i had ear plugs in). I can’t believe I spent $13 on two 8.4oz Red Bulls at the bar but I’d do it again… Hopefully I’ll be able to experience this venue again!

Large club type venue, similar to Royale downtown but not as big. Overall a decent place, would give 4.5 stars if that was an option. Large floor for standing/dancing with a bar area in the back. The sound was good. Security came around and offered free water bottles later in the show which was cool. Some of the downsides: Beer selection wasn't very good, there are areas with obstructed views if you're not on the dancefloor.

I attended a show on 12/10/23, the venue staff was absolutely amazing. getting in the venue was smooth, and well structured, security was easy and quick. it was a pop punk show so there was a decent amount moshing and crowd surfing. The security was proactive in catching surfers, as well as ensuring everyone in the crowd was safe. They also provided cold waters periodically to the crowd which was awesome. the venue itself was decently small but set up well to allow people to sit or stand. tv monitors were placed everywhere to allow for a full view of the set no matter where you were in the venue. the women’s restroom had 2 stalls with broken locks, but the other 3 worked fine, a little inconvenient but not the end of the world.

I had a great time at this venue for the recent Daði Freyr concert! I loved that the place had a pit but also booth seats for those interested in listening while also drinking or snacking (or for people who just need to take a seat). The bar was also nearby the pit, making it easy to see the performance while taking a break so that you don't have to miss a thing. Not sure if it's the staff that was going along with the performer or if it was the venue staff, but free bottles of water were given out to everyone who needed it which is always appreciated! Overall, an amazing place to watch a show! Notes: Coat check is $10, staff are all very nice :)

As one of the newer music venues in Boston, I attended a sold-out show of a band I had been dying to see. I will start with the positives, then move to the negatives of this location. The security is abundant, and getting into the venue is easy. The general admission standing room has a few areas where you can find a good vantage point to see the stage, and there are two large screens on either side in case you can't. The sound was top-notch, and even though it was sold out, the air conditioning kept the crowd cooled even when jumping and dancing. Now, the numerous shortcomings which there are too many. Whatever this space was, there are several large support columns that obstruct the stage. The priority for the design was obviously the VIP booths since they took up precious floor space. Even some of these areas have an obstructed view, which negates their value instantly. Table service for the VIP booths is only available on Saturday, so there's no benefit to being in one any other night. The bars aren't staffed properly, leaving one bar tender at a bar to try and serve half the crowd. Plus, it's a mandatory signature for all card transactions, slowing the bar down immensely. As soon as the show ends and the house lights go on, security kicks you out. We saw people in the VIP sections trying to finish their drinks as security approached them and told them to leave. I always wait for a crowd to thin out before going to the exits but also got told to leave. I needed to use the bathroom before exiting the venue and found a women's room with only three stalls. One of the stalls had a broken lock, and the other bathroom visitors and I needed to take turns holding the door shut while it was in use. As my husband waited outside the bathrooms, security told him to vacate the premises again. He explained (calmly) that he was waiting for his wife in the bathroom. The security guard did not like that answer and responded, "Oh, you want to be one of those guys?" Then proceeded to tell my husband he was in the way (the exit doors were 50 feet away), that he couldn't stand there, and made him go stand against an opposite wall. The inefficiency of the layout, combined with obstructed views, lackluster VIP accommodation, and rude security, prove this unused space converted into a venue was only created for the bottom line. It was our first and last time coming to Big Night Live, and I suggest you skip it, too.
