We had a great concert with Billy Vera and the Beaters. This is a great venue for his and such bands. It's tricky to get into, you have to enter the parking behind the club off Sunset, then into the building. The entrance is just inside the exterior doors, a hard right. The food is excellent, so with shows is a good choice if you're going light on drinks. Thanks to Billy and the Beaters for the great show, again.

My recent visit to a jazz club was overshadowed by a booking error and poor customer service. A mix-up in my online ticket's name led to a distressing entrance ordeal. Despite showing my ID and payment proof, the owner accused me of fraud, loudly and in front of my date, without offering an apology or solution. I had to repurchase my tickets under pressure. Attempts to resolve the issue and get a refund were met with rudeness and vague promises. On the brighter side, the music and crowd inside the club were excellent, with a fantastic jazz band making the evening enjoyable. The food was average but expected for such a venue. However, the unwelcoming service from the owner marred the overall experience, making it hard to recommend despite the great music.

Overpriced tasteless food and drinks. No prices, and you're charged an entertainment fee. Dinner or 2 drinks per person. Nachos come with no protein. They look like chips with melted house cheese on top... Never again!

While they serve food, you do not go here for the food, you go for the music. Menu not varied and not very adaptable to dietary restrictions. Servers duty is to get the food to you before the show starts. That said, ok wine list and great music.

Went here for the concert which was amazing, but the reason for one star is their overcharging policy. I came here for the music, but I knew I had to order food because it's also a restaurant. For 2 people we ordered 2 meals. We were told that we had to order 2 items for each person which makes 4 for 2 of us. We were not even hungry. So we were offered the cheapest item on the menu which was water for $8.50 each. What a rip off to pay for the concert, plus mandatorily order certain amount food/drink. Catalina jazz club doesn't even mention "restaurant" in its title or anything about their food/drink ordering policy on its website. I will try to avoid this
