Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall Reviews

It's a big venue, I think it holds 8,000+ so depending on the show it can feel really massive. I prefer smaller venues, but they get big artists so that's fun.

Went on 12/11/23 to see Heilung. The acoustics here were good, the band killed it, and the lighting was nice. There’s a parking garage next to the venue that costed $25 but get ready to be stuck there for 45+ minutes after the show. Lol The bar was very basic and the prices of the drinks for a beer and cocktail were like $40. The venue itself isn’t the greatest. Just a flat floor. If you’re short you’re going to have a bad time. 😂 THE SECURITY HERE ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. Right when the group ended they were rushing everyone to leave. My gf couldn’t even use the bathroom. Extremely unprofessional security staff. When we walked outside the venue they continued to be rude telling us to move even though we’re walking slowly. Overall I would avoid this venue because of how uncomfortable it is and rude the security are.

This is the most disorganized and hypocritical venue I’ve been to. After obtaining VIP status i was questioned about it several times by different staff members because none of them communicate with each other. No staff member could answer any basic questions. As for the VIP perks they gave us the front areas of each balcony. The one closest to the entrance was crowded so a group of us went to the far side and it was great for 2 bands. Then out of nowhere we were all kicked out and told we needed a higher VIP status. At that point we had a great view but was told to leave. As soon as we left other people took our great view and once that happened we were allowed back in but this time with no view as there were no spots left. The staff were very unprofessional during this and treated all the “lessor” VIP’s poorly. I will never attend another event at this venue.

Been here to this venue a few times to catch my favorite music artists and djs. Great space to catch live performances. Multiple bars to choose from throughout venue.

Sound is excellent. Agree with person reviewed before that it is stuffy. Ventilation would go a long way to make it less dive bar feel. Parking was up to $30/35 for a concert on 4/19/24. The “door” opened at 8am and that was late considering the line was at least 6 city blocks deep (and the show begun at 9pm scheduled). Earlier opening would go a long way also.
