Boarding House Park Reviews

Great place to see any performances over the summer. I went to see a free show from Angkor Dance Troupe. It was amazing. It just showed how Lowell is full of culture, art and history. I will go back for more events like Lowell Folk Fest, Lowell Summer Music Series, concert from local bands, etc...

I have been coming here since it was opened. I brought my daughter to the free children's shows. I came to the Friday night shows that were all donation based. Then the graduation to paid shows with marquee performers. It is an urban oasis and it gets more fans every year. The best Boarding House Park weekend is the Lowell Folk Festival. Seeing an enthusiastic crowd enjoying a wonderful tapestry of music over the course of a weekend does the heart good.

Great place to see a concert. Been to many shows here. Bela Fleck and his crew tore it up. Amazing musicianship. Extra $$ for Reserved Seating is well worth it. My wife and I had front row for this one.

Great venue. All good seats. Sound system is great without being too loud. Plenty of room for spreading out. Parking in area is super easy. Cops all around. Rest room across street was clean and well lighted. Ice cream truck was a hit.

We went to see Boz Scaggs. Boz and his band were fantastic. Great musicians, awesome solos and performance. The venue, although very nice setting, isn't managed that well. They sell more tickets than the park can hold. People were four deep out on the sidewalk. The park itself was absolutely jammed with lawn chairs. Apparently, you can set up your chair early in the day and then leave it there to "reserve" a seat. When we arrived over two hours early for the concert, the place was already full with empty chairs and blankets. So you have to set up out on the sidewalk. Not a pleasant experience for the money.
