The Uptown Jazz Orchestra is an American big band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 2007 by Grammy Award-winning trombonist and NEA Jazz Master Delfeayo Marsalis. Comprising up to 18 musicians, the ensemble is widely recognized for preserving traditional New Orleans jazz heritage through energetic live performances and a signature sound that blends classic jazz, swing, and Crescent City rhythms.
