Seattle rock band Candlebox formed in 1990. They broke through with 1993’s quadruple-platinum debut Candlebox, featuring hits “You” and “Far Behind.” Later albums include Lucy (1995), Happy Pills (1998), Into the Sun (2008) and Wolves (2021).

Detroit rock band Sponge blends hard rock, alt-pop, and grunge-tinged hooks. Broke during the mid-’90s post-grunge boom with radio hits “Plowed” and “Molly (Sixteen Candles).” Albums Rotting Pinata (1994) and Wax Ecstatic (1996) went gold.
