Born in Brooklyn, Marcus Miller is a versatile bassist known for his jazz-funk style and collaborations with Miles Davis, Lenny White, and Grover Washington, Jr. Winner of a Grammy for 2001's M², his albums often top jazz charts. Also a film composer with works like 2017's Marshall.
Originally from Minnesota, José James is a jazz artist known for blending jazz, soul, funk, and rock. Influenced by Coltrane and Billie Holiday, his work includes collaborations with Flying Lotus, Moodymann, Robert Glasper, and Chris Dave. James' album No Beginning No End topped Billboard's jazz chart. He's renowned for tributes to Billie Holiday and Bill Withers and founded Rainbow Blonde Records.
