Grandaddy is an indie rock band formed in Modesto, CA in 1992. They broke through with Under the Western Freeway (1997) and “Summer Here Kids,” and refined their “atmospheric electronics meet warped Americana” sound on Sophtware Slump (2000). Disbanded in 2006; returned with Last Place (2017).
