He studied at Beijing's Central Music Conservatory and the Curtis Institute. Notable milestones include his 1999 debut at the Ravinia Festival, a 2001 Carnegie Hall debut, and a renowned performance at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He has recorded extensively with Deutsche Grammophon and Sony Classical, collaborating with artists like Herbie Hancock. His celebrated albums include Piano Book and The Disney Book.
