Emanuel Ax, born in Lvov, Poland, is a celebrated classical pianist known for his chamber music and collaborations with Yo-Yo Ma. He has won multiple Grammys and the Avery Fisher Prize. Famous for performing music by Bartók, Schoenberg, and Mozart, Ax records with Sony Classical and teaches at Juilliary.
Born in Los Angeles, Leonard Slatkin is a celebrated American conductor known for championing American, Russian, and British music. His notable roles include music director of the St. Louis Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra, and Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He holds six Grammy Awards and the U.S. National Medal of the Arts. Slatkin collaborated with top orchestras, recorded extensively, and in 2019, a Naxos recording was Grammy-nominated.
