LineUp

The Baseball Project, an alt-rock supergroup, formed by members of R.E.M., Dream Syndicate, and Minus 5, crafts energetic songs about baseball legends. Originating from a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame event, they released debut album Frozen Ropes and Dying Quails in 2008. Known for collaborations with David Letterman, ESPN, and members like Mike Mills, their work includes notable albums like High and Inside, 3rd, and 2023’s Grand Salami Time, featuring iconic figures and capturing the spirit of America's pastime.
The Minus 5, led by Scott McCaughey, blends witty indie pop with influences from glam to new wave. Known for fluid lineups, frequent collaborator Peter Buck, and albums like Down with Wilco, they're celebrated for McCaughey's sharp lyrics. Key releases include Killingsworth (2009) and The Minus 5 (aka "The Gun Album"). Collaborations with Jeff Tweedy and R.E.M. showcase their creative range. The 2019 album Stroke Manor emerged after McCaughey's stroke, featuring artists like Buck and Tweedy.
The Dream Syndicate, a key band from L.A.'s Paisley Underground scene, fused Bob Dylan's wordplay and Velvet Underground's dark guitar sound. Formed by Steve Wynn, they became known for albums like "The Days of Wine and Roses" and "Medicine Show." Collaborating with artists like Kendra Smith and Chris Cacavas, they explored rock, psychedelia, and ambient styles. Known for hits like "That's What You Always Say," they toured worldwide and influenced the indie music scene. They reunited in 2012 and released critically acclaimed projects such as "How Did I Find Myself Here?" and "Ultraviolet Battle Hymns and True Confessions."
