Formed in 1987, Reading, England’s Chapterhouse evolved from space rock to early shoegaze. Their 1991 debut Whirlpool followed EPs Freefall and Sunburst. The single Pearl featured Slowdive’s Rachel Goswell. They later made Blood Music (1993) and split in 1994.
