Formed in Yorkshire in 1966, Smokie achieved major UK chart success in the 1970s with hits like Living Next Door to Alice. Following lineup changes after the passing of Alan Barton, fronted later by Mike Craft, the band released albums such as Uncovered and continued touring globally.
