Union 13 is a bilingual Latino punk band from East Los Angeles, formed in 1992. Signed to Brett Gurewitz’s Epitaph Records in 1996, they released East Los Presents Union 13 (1997), Why Are We Destroying Ourselves? (1998), and Symptoms of Humanity (2003).
T.S.O.L., formed in 1978 in Huntington Beach, CA, is known for blending punk and goth styles. Popular for "Nothing for You," they influenced bands like the Misfits. Faced lineup changes and genre shifts, collaborating with the Dead Kennedys and touring with bands like Guns N' Roses. Iconic in L.A.'s punk scene, their legacy includes a feature in "Suburbia" and a resurgence with 2009's "Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Free Downloads."
Youth Brigade, a Los Angeles punk band formed by the Stern brothers in 1980, is known for their DIY ethos, founding BYO Records in '82. Their albums include "Sound and Fury" and "Happy Hour." Despite line-up changes, the trio toured Europe and North America, collaborating with Swingin' Utters on a split release.
Spaghetti Cumbia, formed in 2016 in Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles, blends traditional cumbia with rock, punk, and Western movie soundtrack influences. Known for high-octane live performances and crowd-engaging shows, the band creates a jubilant dance atmosphere. Popular songs include "Deliciosamente," "Spaghetti Cumbia," and "Juana." Their sound is a unique fusion of genres.
Formed in 1998 in Orange County, The Voids are a staple of the SoCal punk scene, known for albums like "Kill a Generation" and "Sounds of Failure, Sounds of Hope".
