Formed in 1991 at Georgetown University, Vertical Horizon evolved from a folk-based acoustic duo into pop/rock. Their 1999 RCA debut Everything You Want went double platinum, led by the number one title track. Neil Peart guested on later albums.

Nine Days, an American rock band from Long Island, New York, formed in 1994. They are acclaimed for their alternative and pop rock sound, and widely known for their hit song "Absolutely (Story of a Girl)," which reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100. Their album "The Madding Crowd" achieved gold certification. Their music features melodic guitar lines and engaging vocal harmonies.
