The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, led by Robert Spano, unifies its community with over 120 performances annually. Founded in 1912, it has played at Carnegie Hall and Kennedy Center, earning global acclaim for its 13 recordings. The FWSO collaborates widely, including with the Texas Ballet Theater and Fort Worth Opera, and resides at Bass Performance Hall.
Robert Spano, born in Conneaut, Ohio, is a renowned conductor known for Grammy wins with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. He led them from 2001 to 2021, became music director of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and notably conducted Wagner's Ring at the Seattle Opera. Spano is also a composer and has collaborated with Jessica Rivera.
