His iconic works include the ballets Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and The Sleeping Beauty, alongside the 1812 Overture and Piano Concerto No. 1. His compositions remain beloved globally.
The Hartford Symphony Orchestra, established in 1934, is Connecticut's premier musical organization, renowned for its classical and innovative programming. It has received accolades such as the MetLife Award for Excellence in Community Engagement and the Governor's Arts Award. Known for captivating audiences and enriching lives through music, it has collaborated with artists like Andrea Bocelli and Yo-Yo Ma.
Peruvian conductor Miguel Harth Bedoya, trained at Curtis and Juilliard, leads major orchestras worldwide and premieres works by Golijov, Higdon, and Lopez.
