Mac Sabbath, formed in Los Angeles in 2014, pioneered "Drive Thru Metal". This parody heavy metal band is famous for reimagining Black Sabbath classics with fast-food themed lyrics, performed by costumed McDonaldland characters like Ronald Osbourne. Known for songs like "Pair-a-Buns" and "Frying Pan," their album "Drive Thru Metal" arrived in 2021.

Sleep

13 concerts

San Jose's Sleep pioneered stoner doom metal, celebrated for their heavy, sludgy, Sabbath-inspired riffs. Their seminal "Sleep's Holy Mountain" and the epic, hour-long "Dopesmoker" are genre classics. They released "The Sciences" and have unveiled new music like "Hempispheres" and "Have Spacesuit Will Travel".

Pink Mountaintops

Pink Mountaintops is the project of British Columbia-born singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Stephen McBean (Black Mountain frontman). Since their 2004 self-titled debut, they’ve explored arcane influences; Peacock Pools features Steven McDonald and Dale Crover.
